DalglishSuarez 238x238 Videos: Kenny Dalglish says Luis Suarez should never have been banned (Liverpool Spurs 0)Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was clearly irked during his post-match interviews following the 0-0 draw with Tottenham on Monday night.

On the subject of Luis Suarez’s eight-match ban, Dalglish has in many ways re-opened the debate by saying in two seperate interviews that the Uruguayan should never have been suspended for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Throughout this episode, Liverpool and Dalglish have been criticised for their stance and PR. These interviews are only likely to inflame the situation, particularly with their match coming up at Manchester United on Saturday.

During his first post-match interview, with Sky Sports, Dalglish said “Suarez should never have been out in the first place” – video here.

And, on the BBC, the former Liverpool number seven added: “Suarez should never have been away.”

Surely, Dalglish was better off not talking about the rights or wrongs of the ban after the 0-0 draw with Spurs, since, in truth, the whole affair has been hugely damaging to the brand and standing of one of English football’s greatest clubs.
