While most at Eastlands are currently concerned with their goalkeeping crisis, few will likely have paid much attention to the progress of their hugely talented 18-year-old Swedish striker John Guidetti.
Guidetti joined the Citizens back during the reign of Sven-Goran Eriksson when he was just 16-years-old, and he quickly progressed through the youth team into the reserves during his last few years at the club. During his time with the under-18s, the striker scored an incredible 13 goals in 13 games.
With chances in attack so limited at Eastlands at present, several weeks ago John Guidetti was loaned out to Swedish side Brommapojkarna. And his impact in the Allsvenskan has been immediate with the youngster bagging one goal and two assists, despite being a late substitute and being substituted in his first two matches for his new employers, respectively.
Dubbed the next Mark Viduka, Guidetti is a burly striker whose physic and strength belie his young age.
