It is often said that Twitter has brought fans closer to players. The micro blogging site allows us all to know what Michael Owen’s favourite chocolate is, that Jack Wilshere likes drinking tea and every so often we are treated to videos from the inner sanctuary of the dressing room.
On Thursday night we got a small glimpse behind the scenes at Tottenham as Danny Rose posted a video of team mate Sandro displaying the full range of his martial arts skills.
Rose was not the only Spurs player filming Sandro as at the very start of the video Kyle Walker can also be seen filming the Brazlian midfielder on his smart phone.
Sandro, who only just returned from injury in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Wigan on Tuesday, shows off some pretty impressive kicks whilst shouting “pain!”
The deep lying midfielder then produces some flying kicks before a “piece de resistance” that had the Spurs dressing room in stitches. We can but wonder what Harry Redknapp would make of all this, were he not in court fighting a tax evasion case.
Footage of Sandro showing off his crazy martial arts skills in the Spurs dressing room is here.
