Juxtaposition.
While Chelsea were suffering another disappointing result in Naples on Tuesday, former Blues’ forward Nicolas Anelka was having a far better time of things in his new home in China.
Having signed a two-year contract for the Shanghai Shenhua back in December 2011, Anelka finally took to the field on Tuesday in a friendly match between his new employers against Chinese League One opponents Hunan Xiangtao.
Anelka wasted little time giving his new fans a glimpse of his goal-getting abilities.
With just sixty seconds on the clock, Anelka headed (or did it come off his back?) a Wu Xi cross and the ball ripped into net. Shanghai went on to win the exhibition match 3-1.
