Nobody was surprised when Neymar won the man of the match award after Brazil registered a 2-0 win over Mexico in the Confederations Cup on Wednesday night.
Barcelona’s new £47 million signing put on a dazzling display to lead the Selecao to their second win of the competition.
Neymar stole the spotlight as early at the 9th minute when the 21-year-old attacker volleyed a terrific shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the Mexican box.
The Brazilian starlet continued to torment EL Tri’s backline throughout the rest of the match, but it wasn’t until injury time at the end of the 90 that the striker tricked his way through the Mexican defence to tee up Jo for the killer second.
Neymar has now swelled his international tally to 22 goals in 33 appearances, as well as chalking up his 14th assist for Brazil.
