It is easy to bash big clubs after a high-profile cup exit, but the clip below does not make good viewing for Liverpool fans.
And it would be interesting to hear Brendan Rodgers’ thoughts on how Jack Robinson and Luis Suarez interacted with each other in the 87th minute of the 3-2 defeat at Oldham.
During the second half, Liverpool left back Jack Robinson, just 19, took the ball down the left wing and shot into the stands when a cross looked the more likely option.
Liverpool talisman Luis Suarez did not take too kindly to Robinson’s choice and remonstrated with the youngster.
Cue, Jack Robinson telling him to “F*** Off!” in full view of the watching TV cameras. Video below.
Interestingly, after the game, Brendan Rodgers said: “I was really disappointed with our young players. We are trying to give them experience and let them see what it’s like to play for Liverpool, but you’ve got to be able to be competitive and part of a group that is going to challenge for trophies.”
And, L’Equipe report this morning, the rumour that has been swirling for some time, Pep Guardiola wants to bring Luis Suarez to Bayern Munich next season.
