With Tottenham’s first team boasting just two main strikers in Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe, we may well be hearing a lot more from Harry Kane in the next few months.
Kane has long been highly rated in the Spurs youth ranks and impressed at Millwall on loan last season before a spell with Norwich in 2012/2013.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas recalled Kane at the end of the January transfer window once the north London side were unable to bring in Leandro Damiao from Internacional.
With Defoe out with ankle ligament damage for at least three weeks, we can expect Kane to be on the Spurs bench for the match with Newcastle tomorrow.
And he should be full of confidence after scoring this beauty for Spurs U21s against West Ham in a 3-2 win on Monday.
