For the second successive week in the Premier League, Emmanuel Adebayor will be returning to a former club and the Tottenham striker can expect a hot reception at the Emirates during the north London derby on Saturday lunchtime.
After starting against Manchester City last week, Andre Villas-Boas is expected to play Emmanuel Adebayor from the start for Spurs against Arsenal, although Jermain Defoe has had a week off to prepare for the eagerly awaited clash.
Two Tottenham players were on target on international duty on Wednesday night, Steven Caulker showed his threat at attacking set pieces with a goal for England in Sweden (video here) and Adebayor pressed his claims for a starting position under AVB with a strike for Togo.
Adebayor bagged the opener for Togo in their 2-1 win over Gabon. The Spurs forward lashed the ball home at the near post when given too much space down the right.
