Just a day after Chelsea’s first team was blown away by Napoli in the Champions League, their FA Youth Cup side produced one of the comeback of the season.
Much has been made of how Andre Villas-Boas is looking to inject youth into his first team and a host of Chelsea youngsters put their names forward as they won 4-3 at Nottingham Forest having been 3-0 down at half-time.
Forest looked to have taken hold of the quarter-final tie with goals from David Morgan, Nathan Ake and Jordan Palmer-Samuels – in particular the third goal is well worth a watch, since it is a awesome backheel golazo.
Chelsea responded with a brilliant second half performance with strikes from Lucas Piazon, Islam Feruz and Alex Kiwomya.
Piazon (pictured) is a highly-rated Brazilian playmaker, nicknamed the “new Kaka,” Feruz has been banging in the goals for the Chelsea youth team this season and Alex Kiwomya is already known as one of the quickest youngsters in England and just happens to be the nephew of former Arsenal striker Chris.
