Tottenham trickster Adel Taarabt impresses on Morocco debut (video)

Spurs fans have high hopes for Adel Taarabt. The 19-year-old former Lens winger is a box of tricks who seemingly produces a new move during every first team performance.

In many ways, Taarabt is the ultimate “YouTube footballer,” he looks good on a short video clip but whether he is effective over 90 minutes is as yet still undecided.

Last week, Taarabt made his debut for Morocco, playing the full first-half in the 0-0 friendly draw with the Czech Republic.

The Spurs winger could have played for France but explained to the Tottenham website that “Morocco is the country of my birth, and although I was only nine months old when I moved to France, a lot of my family still live there, I could have waited to play for France but I felt the time was right when I was given this opportunity, and it was a very proud moment for me with all my family watching.”

Highlights of Adel Taarabt’s debut performance for Morocco can be seen here.

As an extra bonus, clips have also been uploaded by fans of the trickster of Taarabt’s cameos in the recent games against Burnley (away) and Arsenal (home).
