Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood admitted in his pre Manchester City press conference that he is ready to listen to offers for Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue before the transfer window closes on Friday.
The midfield pair have been linked with moves away from Spurs with first team opportunities unlikely to be forthcoming under Sherwood who has promoted Nabil Bentaleb to the starting XI.
Latest news from Germany suggests Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to meet Tottenham’s asking price of 6 million euros for Holtby.
His former club Schalke were previously heavily linked with Holtby at the start of the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Spurs and Napoli have been in discussions about Capoue throughout the window and it would not be a surprise if the French midfielder were to move in the coming days.
