Who’d be a keeper…
Couple of glorious goalkeeper gaffes to bring you from diverse spots in world football on Wednesday.
In the AFC Champions League, highly-rated and usually reliable Adelaide United goalie Eugene Gelakovic (pictured) was responsible for his side losing 1-0 at Pohang Steelers.
With 20 minutes remaining, Gelakovic fumbled a free-kick and managed to nutmeg himself, ensuring a Steelers striker could cross for Adelaide defender Bruce Djite to convert, millimetres off the line.
Jonas Lossl’s error was just as bad, if not worse, but the 23-year-old Dane can console himself as FC Midtjylland came back to win from the error, securing a 2-1 victory at AaB.
