It appears any remaining hopes Manchester United fans have of Barcelona’s Thiago Alcantara joining their club are gone.
That is because Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo today reported that Thiago had told Barcelona on Friday that he wishes to leave for Bayern Munich.
Barcelona fans will also be bitterly disappointed by the news that one of their bright upcoming talents wants to leave the club.
Although the deal is not yet finalised, Thiago and Bayern coach Pep Guardiola seem intent on making this transfer happen.
Once the clubs iron out the complications of the release clause Thiago could actually make his debut for Bayern against Barcelona on July 24th in a friendly.
Manchester United fans who have followed this transfer saga closely may feel aggrieved that new manager David Moyes did not get his man.
