The Times’ journalists got their Arsenal Champions League predictions very wrong [Picture]

It’s easy to gloat after the event.

And that’s exactly what Arsenal fans are taking the opportunity to do today.

An image from The Times from earlier in the week is currently doing the rounds after six out six journalists all predicted the downfall of Arsenal in the Champions League.

The Gunners needed to beat Olympiakos 2-0 on the road. They actually won 3-0 thanks to an Olivier Giroud hat-trick.

Oliver Kay, Matt Hughes, Matt Dickinson, James Ducker, Rory Smith and Tony Cascarino all predicted the Gunners would go down in flames.

Ducker and Cascarino slightly mitigated their hunches as they picked Man United to exit the competition too.

See the evidence below.

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The Gunners start the weekend in second, two points behind Leicester.

Aston Villa are bottom of the league with just six points from the opening 15 rounds of the season.
