This is the sight all football fans have been waiting to see since Eduardo da Silva had his leg horrifically broken by Birmingham City’s Martin Taylor back in February.
Last night, the Arsenal and Croatian forward returned to action for the first time in ten months to play out the first forty-five minutes in the Gunners’ reserve match with Portsmouth. Unfortunately his comeback was not capped with a goal, but the striker showed excellent balance and strength to ride a series of challenges whilst also showing that he retained his eye for goal with several strikes on the target.
Bringing a happy ending to 2008, it is great to see Eduardo back playing football.
