The goalie for Egyptian side Ghazl El Mehalla wore a Liverpool shirt in the match against Al Ahly [Video]
The excellent Egyptian football blogger @King_Fut made a brilliant observation over the weekend noticing how Liverpool FC have managed to get a kit into the Egyptian top flight.
Last Thursday night domestic powerhouse Al Ahly claimed a 1-0 win over Ghazl El Mehalla, and the kit worn by the visitors goalie demanded attention.
In a strange circumstance, keeper El-Hany Soliman was dressed in this season’s Liverpool goalie kit with a big McDonalds sticker plastered over the front of the jersey.
El-Hany Soliman’s Liverpool kit was particularly prominent when Al Ahly scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
