David Moyes described Ryan Giggs’s performance against Olympiakos as “freak.”
For those approaching middle age, we can but presume that it must have been motivational to see Giggs, the oldest player now to ever appear in the Champions League, play so well for 90 minutes.
And, whilst the likes of David De Gea, Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie all played their part, Giggs was truly outstanding.
And, of course, Twitter exploded with plenty of love for the Welsh Wizard with a host of jokes and Tweets celebrating Giggs’ awesome performance in Manchester United’s win over Olympiakos.
