It wasn’t a particularly good weekend for Stoke, as they lost 2-1 at home to Southampton on Saturday, but Jack Butland reached a milestone in the Premier League this season.
Mark Hughes surprised many when he jettisoned Asmir Begovic at the back end of the 2014/2015 season before selling the Bosnia-Herzegovina goalkeeper to Chelsea in the summer.
But, Butland has been in incredible form for Stoke this campaign and became the first keeper to make 100 saves in the Premier League during 2015/2016.
The numbers below are a good illustration for who have been amongst the best performing goalkeepers in the Premier League this season.
Butland edges out Watford’s Heurelho Gomes, who has played one game less in the Premier League.
Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski, Arsenal’s Petr Cech (surprisingly) and West Ham’s Adrian are also high up on the top 10 list.
Costel Pantilimon, also now at Watford, comes in at ninth, thanks to some big displays for Sunderland.
And, title challenging goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Hugo Lloris also make appearances, albeit with less saves per game than the top custodians.

Only 23, but he already has a fantastic #BPL highlight reel…
