Just days after Iker Casillas turned away Samuel Eto’o’s spot-kick in El Clasico, the Real Madrid shot-stopper was at it once again last night, this time denying the Cameroonian a penalty during a charity match in Spain.
The atmosphere was totally different to that experienced in the Nou Camp on Saturday night, with Iker Casillas teaming up with tennis sensation Rafael Nadal to host a “Fight Against Malaria” charity event that included an indoor football match as the highlight of the evening.
After two events, a kart race which was won by Casillas’ team followed by a tennis competition that Nadal’s side won, the final event was the football match. And things got spicy when F1 racing-driver Fernando Alonso hacked Eto’o in the box, with the ref immediately pointing to the spot.
Eto’o scored from the spot, only for official to call for a retake. And at the second attempt, Iker came out on top, yet again.
