Soccer am clips (Tottenham take The Crossbar Challenge)

It is somewhat rare that a Premier League team take the Crossbar Challenge, today it was the turn of Tottenham Hotspur. Heurelho Gomes brought his own party piece for the occasion and both Jermain Defoe and Frazier Campbell introduced some interesting nicknames. Crossbar Challenge can be seen here.

On the red couch today was Everton defender Phil Jagielka who talked of his heartbreak at missing the FA Cup final through injury after snapping his cruciate ligament. The former Sheffield United defender also described what it was like to take a penalty against Manchester United in the semi-final and how Phil Neville didn’t celebrate after Jagielka had stuck the ball past Ben Foster.

Also coming in for a chat were Suggs and Woody of Madness who talked about their new album, their first in ten years. And Kasabian front men Tom Meighan and Sergio Pizzorno.

Alan McInally gave viewers a tour of Hampden Park and there was a montage of all the best bits of Soccer am this season.

All the regular features were on the show including Iron Soldier, Third Eye (Anderson marching as a British soldier), Skill Skool, Small Talk, Tubes’ Question and Soccerette.
