The slew of friendly matches ahead of Euro 2012 have thrown up two fabulous moments of skill over the past few days.
France, particularly in the first half, looked in sensational form as they swatted aside Serbia on Wednesday, and pick of the Les Bleus bunch was Franck Ribery.
Known for often underperforming on the international stage, the Bayern Munich Quasimodo-looking playmaker had one of his best French performances for some time against the Serbs. Ribery’s highlights included a terrific opener in the early exchanges, followed by a lovely piece of control using his back.
Spain also gave a healthy account of themselves on Tuesday when they put four goals past South Korea in a friendly in Switzerland.
In the second half Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo came off the bench to claim his sixth goal in nine appearances for La Furia Roja, however before he got on the scoresheet Negredo wowed the crowd with a brilliant inventive pass to teammate Alvaro Arbeloa.
