Written off more times that a bank in financial ruin, Ronaldinho once again defied his critics on Wednesday night with a man-of-the-match performance in the Copa Libertadores.
It was a good job too as Flamengo were up-against-it before kick-off.
Having lost their first leg qualifier with Real Potosi 2-1 in the race to reach the group stages of South America’s premier club competition, the pressure was the Brazilians to do the business in front of their home crowd. Ronaldinho duly obliged with an assist for Fla’s opener, before the buck-toothed wonder sent the Engenhao stadium bananas with a brilliant 90th minute aggregate winner.
While Dinho’s shift was clinical in front of goal, the 31-year-old Samba star was also at his showboating best throughout the contest too.
