Whilst the eyes of the world were on the Nou Camp for El Clasico, an interesting protest in the La Liga game immediately after Barcelona 1 – Real Madrid 2, suggested not everyone is happy with the big two dominating the Spanish top flight.
Seconds after Sevilla-Levante kicked off the home support showered the pitch with hundreds of tennis balls in protest at the kick off time being pushed back for half-an-hour due to post-match reaction from Real Madrid’s win at the Nou Camp.
La Liga had pushed the Sevilla-Levante match game by half-an-hour due to “interest generated by the post-match interviews and analysis of El Clasico, which usually has high ratings on television.”
A banner from the Sevilla fans expressed their dismay: “Stop the match, Mourinho is talking.”
