Real Madrid have won La Liga. Basically.
This weekend Los Blancos moved a whopping 10 points above rivals Barcelona after the Catalans failed in a 3-2 at Osasuna while Madrid beat Levante 4-2.
As is so bloody predictable though, aside from the conspiracy theories Barca had after losing their match, huge questions marks were pointed at how Sergio Ramos wasn’t sent off at a crucial point in the game.
With Levante holding a shock 1-nil away lead in the 36th minute, Ramos unleashed a Mortal Kombat kick on the back of Aiser Del Horno’s calf. The kick scissors Del Horno’s leg and the former Chelsea left back belly-flopped onto deck with a painful thud entry.
Making the question of how Ramos avoided a straight red all the more stinging was the fact that the linesman flagged for a free-kick to Levante, but then he woosied out of making sure the red card was branded.
