Ryan Giggs looks forward to welcoming new manager Louis van Gaal to Manchester United [Video]

With Holland going out of the World Cup last night, Louis van Gaal will be shortly ready to arrive at Old Trafford to take over as manager (one the disappointment is digested).

Speaking at a press conference today, Van Gaal’s assistant manager-to-be Ryan Giggs spoke of his pride and excitement ahead of working with the Iron Tulip.

Giggs said he was disappointed to see Holland go out last night, which is natural enough, as it would have been something special to welcome him to Old Trafford a world champion.

Giggs said Van Gaal ‘won’t be afraid’ of taking over, and spoke highly of the Dutchman’s clear footballing philosophy.
