Referee Howard Webb taken apart on Twitter for shocking performance during Arsenal v Liverpool

It is rare that two sides are angry with one referee, but that was the case for World Cup official Howard Webb.

This was the case however with Howard Webb during Arsenal’s FA Cup clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

Liverpool were unhappy with Howard Webb for failing to award a clear second penalty for Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain’s foul on Luis Suarez.

Then, Howard Webb failed to send off Steven Gerrard for a second bookable offence after he had felled The Ox.

In many ways, Webb was simply “making up” for an earlier error.

In actual fact, all Webb did was anger both Arsenal and Liverpool fans at the same time.

At least the English referee didn’t miss that Kung Fu kick from Nigel de Jong in the last World Cup final. Oh!
