Not only did Real Madrid lose their first match of the season on Sunday at Sevilla, but they did so without maintaining their grace.
Footage, caught by Spanish television station Cuatro, captured Real Madrid’s keeper Iker Casillas and mainstay midfielder Guti having an on-field spat during their 2-1 defeat at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville.
With under 20 minutes remaining in the contest, and with Los Blancos’ 2-1 down, the two players were caught arguing over Guti’s positioning for a Sevilla corner.
“What are you doing there, alone?” asks Casillas of Guti, who stood isolated at the front post, before stating, “There is nothing there. There is nobody there.”
“There are four [Sevilla players] there,” responded the midfielder, pointing behind himself, then asking “What?” on several occasions before saying to his team-mate: “shut your mouth”.
