It hasn’t just been Steven Gerrard’s move into a defensive midfield position that has helped a resurgent Liverpool of late.
Philippe Coutinho appears to be coming good again at just the right time after injury and a few sluggish games.
The Brazilian playmaker was one of the star performers in Liverpool’s 5-1 rout of Arsenal and Coutinho scored a precious goal against Fulham last night.
Just nine minutes after Fulham had gone ahead for the second time in the match, Coutinho danced across the Fulham defence and finished with a cracking shot into the far corner.
The celebration also very much meant business as Coutinho and his Liverpool team mates headed straight back to the centre circle to win the match.
