There was a decidedly football flavor to BBC’s political panel show Question Time this evening, with QPR midfielder and modern-day philosopher Joey Barton appearing alongside celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan.
The topic for discussion was the recent UK general elections, in which UKIP (UK Independence Party) won a surprising victory over the Lib Dems.
Barton used an interesting analogy to describe his feelings for UKIp, saying, ‘If I’m out and I see four really ugly girls, (I’ll be) thinking, ”She’s not the worst!’ – cos that’s all you are.’, saying it directly to a female UKIP representative, but referring to the party as a whole….presumably.
Piers Morgan & Joey Barton? One's a waste of space who tragically believes he's still relevant to football. The other is Joey Barton #bbcqt

Not sure why a big fuss was made about 'Piers Morgan vs Joey Barton', never seemed to have any major clashes of opinion to start with #BBCQT

Joey Barton is about to appear on Question Time. In the interest of balance, I've just thrown my TV out the window.

Still giggling at Joey Barton being incapable of hiding his inherent prejudices even when he's trying dead hard to do so on telly.

2 – Joey Barton is just 2 answers away from being more popular than a Liberal Democrat MP. Politics.
