Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (total £17.37, down £7.63)

Last weekend’s betting was classic. Our supposed banker turned pear-shaped, while our riskier long odds punt proved spot on. All in all we earned just under a £2 profit, but this week we’re looking to do better.

Getting involved is simple.

Titan offers all new punters a brilliant incentive to sign up with them. All new players receive a 100% up to $/€/£250 bonus on your first deposit. That means whatever you put in, Titan will match. You put it £250, and Titan will give you £250.

The majority of this betting page is made up of match previews, but rarely do we every back up our own predictions in our betting experiment. This week we’re going to change that with regard to this week’s Champions League matches.

Tuesday night sees Chelsea entertain Inter Milan in the most mouth-watering of the ties this week (preview here). This should have the season that Chelsea steamrollered all those in front of them, arguably having the best squad not only in England but perhaps also the world. Yet a series of injuries, scandals, and a constantly porous defence has taken the shine off the Pensioners, and there is the niggling feeling that perennial big-time bottlers Inter may actually deliver this season.

On Wednesday night a far more bread and butter match-up sees Barcelona welcome Stuttgart to the Nou Camp (preview here). Off the top of La Liga, it’s fashionable this week to question how great the Catalans are, particularly in yet another Champions League campaign in which their fellows Spaniards have all already exited the tournament. But with players like Messi, Zlatan, Dani Alves, Xavi and Iniesta, it would be incredible if the Bundesligers pull off the shock of the shocks and won.

Accordingly we’re opting for two bets.

First we’re going long with a prediction of the two scorelines on the respective nights. With a £0.50 stake, should Chelsea-Inter end 1-all (7.00) and Barcelona-Stuttgart end 3-nil (8.00) we’ll scoop a whopping £28.

Opening ourselves to a slightly more probable winning ticket we’re also back Chelsea-Inter to be a draw (3.25) and Barca to beat Stuttgart (1.25), our £1.50 stake will convert into a £6.09 return.
