Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (total £16.15, down £8.85)

The first weekend of betting on 101 just came to an end and there were mixed results.

Things started brightly on Saturday. Martin Demichelis scored a last minute third for Bayern to ensure a winning opening bet of Bayern to score more than 2.5 goals against Bochum. £10 was instantly made into £16.15 and th ego was beginning to get nicely fluffed.

But Sunday was a bit rougher. An eagle-eyed linesman ruled out a second minute goal for Frank Lampard to deny a winning ticket on the Chelsea/Lampard double, while Barcelona managed to save their goals against Almeria for the second half to again ruin a Barcelona/Barcelona halftime/full-time score.

C’est la vie. That’s betting. And we can always win our money back. And we will.

Now for the shameless plug.

We’ve gazed into our crystal ball and decided to achieve an exponential growth this week by investing our remaining £16.15 as follows:

1. Tuesday night sees Arsenal take on Hull at the Emirates in the leftover FA fifth round tie, and Arsene Wenger is scheduled to ring the changes with many of the babes tipped for a run out. With that being the case, Carlos Vela has looked in great shape in his recent appearances for the Gunners so we are putting  £6.15 on the Vela/Arsenal double at 12/5. (Match odds here.)

2. Wednesday night sees the return of the UEFA Cup with St. Etienne taking on Werder Bremen, trailing 1-nil from the first leg. With both sides a long way off European qualification for next season, there is everything to play for in this match, and we predict a high scoring affair. Accordingly, we are putting £5 for more than 2.5 goals at 11/10 . (Match odds here.)

3. Lastly, on Thursday night we’re backing PSG to come back from their 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Marseille to beat Braga on home soil. WIth just one win and four draws in Braga’s last five outings, the Superliga side are primed for a beating and the Parisans could well dish it out. Our last £5 says PSG will win, priced 9/5. (Match odds here.)
