PSG no longer want Dani Alves, L’Equipe report.
Which is quite a surprise, given that the Spanish media were reporting just last week that Alves had signed a pre-contract with the Parisians, and that his agent was already house-hunting for him.
L’Equipe don’t even mentioned said supposed contract, and simply claim that PSG have lost interest in the Brazilian full-back, believing that they have sufficient cover in that position.
They say that Laurent Blanc is planning on relocating Marquinhos to full-back, and that PSG also have Serge Aurier as cover.
L’Equipe quote a PSG spokesperson as saying that they were very interested in Alves at one point, but that they now have no intention of signing him.
If true, it would mean that Alves, whose contract is up at Barcelona this summer, would be back on the radar of some of England’s top clubs.
Manchester United have often been linked with a move for the Brazilian, and if PSG doesn’t happen, then the Premier League is his most likely destination.
