Picture: Arsenal fans start a campaign to put up a blue plaque at White Hart Lane
Ahead of Sunday’s crunch clash at White Hart Lane between Spurs and Arsenal, @R_GOONER has attempted to start a new campaign.
Whilst Tottenham have to go as far back as 1961 for their last league title, Arsenal can boast two league wins at White Hart Lane in 1971 and 2004.
Blues plaques are installed in London “to commemorate either a famous person who lived or worked in the building (or site) or an event that occurred within the building,” according to Wikipedia.
There are currently 869 such blue plaques in London – it would be a huge surprise if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy allowed this to be the 870th!
