Arsenal fans were once again thanking Chelsea for the signing of Petr Cech last summer, at Stoke this afternoon.

The Gunners picked up a 0-0 draw in a tightly fought contest between two of the best sides in the Premier League.

Before signing for Arsenal, John Terry predicted that Petr Cech would save Arsenal 10-15 points a season and there was for sure at least another one bagged today.

Cech made five saves in the match, as compared to Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland, who made three and has the best record this season (for saves) in the Premier League.

After the game, Cech was hailed once again as a key part of the Arsenal first team.

This was brought into sharp focus today with both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil missing for the Gunners.

Four of Arsenal’s next five fixtures are at The Emirates and next week Petr Cech plays against his former club, when the Gunners host Chelsea in a key match.
