Much of the chatter in the Premier League this season has surrounded just what a bargain Swansea produced when they signed Michu for 2 million pounds.
So, Juventus snaring Paul Pogba for free last summer should go down as one of the bargains of the century, much to the chagrin of Manchester United fans across the globe.
The Old Lady had a good day on Saturday as Lazio dropped points at Palermo and they smashed a potentially dangerous Udinese side 4-0.
Pogba was the undoubted star of the show, scoring the opening two goals. The first a true Golazo in off the bar and the second a fine show after a delicious roulette turn.
This was particularly significant since Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio were injured and the 19-year-old Frenchman stepped up to the plate.
After the game, Pogba credited Juventus coach Antonio Conte for telling him to be “bad” in the lead up to the encounter.
“In training Conte told me to be ‘bad,’ I am big and strong so I have to win all the duels,” Pogba told France Football.
