PSV centre-half Hector Moreno is perhaps one of the most hated footballers at the present time.
Last week in the Champions League, Moreno ended Luke Shaw’s season as the 29-year-old Mexican broke the Man United defender’s leg.
Moreno followed up his shocking foul on Shaw on Saturday in the Eredivisie with a second horrific tackle in the space of a few days.
Playing away at Heracles, Moreno lost possession with an awful first touch before he studded Heracles forward Oussama Tannane in the knee.
Tannane was immediately forced off the pitch, while Moreno again escaped the incident without even getting booked.
After the match Oussama Tannane publicly slammed Moreno, asserting that the PSV defender knew what he was doing last week against Man United. Tannane said:
I thought it was an outrageous foul.
[Moreno] was late with his action. Moreno knows what he did last week [against Manchester United]. I thought the referee should have drawn a card.
For the record, PSV coach Phillip Cocu batted away a post match question over the Moreno incident with a classic Arsene Wenger excuse:
I had the feeling that Hector was looking for the ball, but reacted too late. But I have not seen the pictures yet, so I can not have good judgment about it.
