Oscar has inadvertently unveiled his compatriot Kenedy as Chelsea’ latest signing, introducing the player to his fans on Twitter and Instagram last night.
The Brazilian youngster, whose name sounds more like an American President’s than a footballer’s, was sold by Fluminense back in May, with his destination left a mystery.
Having starred for Brazil U17s and U20s, Kenedy is touted as one of the hottest prospects in Brazilian football.
It was reported in the Brazilian media that Kenedy was actually initially sold to a third party investment group, which meant they were under no entitlement to reveal his next club.
Chelsea were widely reported as the buyers at the time, but neither the Rio club or the Londonders had confirmed it.
Oscar has now done that job for them, welcoming him to the club on his social media accounts last night, posting a picture of himself alongside Diego Costa and Kenedy himself.
