Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey played 90 minutes as Arsenal got their Premier League season off to the worst possible start, losing 2-0 at home to West Ham United.
Once an unpopular figure at the club, Ramsey has transformed himself into a goalscoring midfielder over the past couple of seasons.
He took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to share his thoughts on the shock 2-0 defeat and urged his Arsenal teammates to return to winning ways at the weekend.
Despite the defeat, Aaron Ramsey said he “remains positive that it will be a successful season”.
Disappointed about Sunday but remain positive that it’ll be a successful season. Must bounce back and return to winning ways this weekend

The 24-year-old central midfielder is not the only player to tweet about the opening day defeat: Goalkeeper Petr Cech also tweeted about his nightmare debut. The former Chelsea stopper was arguably at fault for both West Ham goals and claimed the result was “not in the script”.
First game like this was not in the script – Mistake and no points but tomorrow is another day to get ready for the next game ! #COYG
