Compared to the whirlwind rollercoaster of last summer, it’s been a low-key transfer window for Tottenham by all accounts.
Having made just three signings so far – Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier, none of whom are what you would call a ‘marquee player’ – Spurs have now added a fourth new recruit, DeAndre Yedlin from Seattle Sounders.
But in practice, Spurs remain at three new players, as Yedlin will only join up with the Londonders next season, remaining with the Sounders until then.
Which is a strange decision, considering he could join up with Spurs in January in theory, once the MLS 2014 has finished, but it appears Spurs are wary of rushing the 21-year old.
