After a rip-roaring start to the campaign, Burnley have allowed others to close in on them following back-to-back draws against Millwall and Bournemouth, yet the Clarets will be confident they have enough talent to turn the tide in Nottingham.
Burley have the division’s best strikeforce, with Danny Ings and Sam Vokes having amassed 23 goals between them already this season. Moreover, the Clarets have an impressive away record this season with five wins, one draw and one defeat under their belt away from home.
And then there is the fact that Burnley have already dumped Forest out the League Cup this season in a 2-1 victory.
But Forest will prove no pushovers on home soil, although the hosts will be without Andy Reid and David Vaughan who both picked up knocks on international duty.
But even with those absentees Billy Davies still has plenty of options to choose from in midfield, with Nathaniel Chalobah on loan from Chelsea, as well as Henri Lansbury, Radi Majewski, Jamie Paterson, Jamie Mackie, Djamel Abdoun and Chris Cohen all available for selection.
Up-top, Simon Cox looks to be returning t o scoring form after he got on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win at Leicester last time out.
