Following their excellent first season back in the Premier League, Norwich City have wrapped up an “historic new contract” with insurance giants Aviva.
Although the East Anglians only introduced a new home kit at the start of the season, the Canaries will now release a new kit for the upcoming 2012/13 campaign on the back on the new three-year sponsorship extension with Aviva. That decision has been defended by the club’s chief executive David McNally.
McNally: ”When I joined the football club the supporters said to me, ‘We are a big football club’. Let me tell you, big football clubs change their kit every year. If we are a big football club then we have to act like a big football club.”
Leaving the issue of milking the fans’ money aside, Norwich have coincided their new shirt deal with a video titled “Pass it On!” featuring the likes of Wes Hoolahan, Steve Morison and John Ruddy, plus everyone’s favourite wordy Englishman Stephen Fry.
