Santos starlet Neymar added another string to his bow on Sunday as he reached 100 career goals on the occasion of his 20th birthday.

The fact Neymar has scored 100 goals in just three seasons of professional football is clear evidence why he is the foremost top young player on the planet and seems set to join Real Madrid or Barcelona for a huge fee once his time is up at Santos.

Neymar notched his 100th goal in a Campeonato Paulista match against Palmeiras, with a rare header but thanks to a late collapse Santos lost the encounter 2-1.

Statistically, Neymar has scored the 100 goals in 186 games, 82 were notched for Santos, 8 for the Brazilian national team, 9 for the Under-20 Brazil side and 1 for the Under-17s.

The 100-goal mark is also more impressive considering Neymar claimed just 15 in 2009, claiming 44 in 2010 and 40 in 2011. Seven of the 100 goals have been scored with his head, 70 with his right foot and 21 were from the left foot.
