New Spurs midfielder Paulinho gets his hands on silverware – the Recopa Sudamericana [Picture]

Tottenham fans will be hoping this is a sign of things to come for Paulinho at White Hart Lane!

And, it is fair to say that new Spurs signings do not usually lift silverware quite so quickly when joining the north London side!

Paulinho is still to join up with Tottenham after playing a key role in Brazil’s Confederations Cup victory so was at the second leg of the Recopa Sudamericana final between Corinthians and Sao Paulo on Wednesday night.

Already 2-1 up from the first leg, Corinthians won the second game 2-0 to clinch the title which is contested between the winner of the Copa Libertadores and the victorious Copa Sudamericana side.

Having played a major role in Corinthians’ success in the Copa Libertadores and with his public affection for the club, we can only presume Paulinho was heavily involved in the celebrations at full time.
