On announcing he would be signing for Norwich City, Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel confirmed that he would continue to give his “maximum” for Sporting Lisbon.
The former Utrecht and Vitesse forward showed exactly what he is all about with a hat-trick on Monday night as Sporting Lisbon won a thriller 3-2.
And, no doubt this display will excite Norwich boss Chris Hughton and fans at Carrow Road as it was the first time the 24-year-old striker had scored more than 2 goals in a game since August.
The first van Wolfswinkel goal came on nine minutes, a diving header from a right wing cross.
Twenty minutes later, the Norwich bound hitman hit a left-footed finish into the roof of the net.
And, on 92 minutes played, with the score locked at 2-2, Ricky van Wolfswinkel won the match for Sporting Lisbon at Braga, with a close range header.
After all of their goal scoring issues this season, Norwich fans can start licking their lips. All 3 Ricky van Wolfswinkel goals for Sporting Lisbon at Braga are below.
