Only one of the players in the picture above plays for Tottenham now.
Spurs look to have made another shrewd signing in the summer transfer window, snapping up Belgium regular Nacer Chadli for just 7 million euros thanks to the fact his contract only had one more year to run at FC Twente.
Chadli will provide competition on both wings for the likes of Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend, whilst he has also played up front, in a deeper “number 10 role” which could suit the marauding runs of Gareth Bale.
During their one and only season in the Champions League, Nacer Chadli scored twice against Tottenham, in the group stages.
First, Chadli poked past Heurelho Gomes at White Hart Lane in a 4-1 win in September 2010 and then scored a fine free-kick past the Brazilian in December 2010.
Both goals are below, followed by Andre Villas-Boas’ first interview on the new Spurs signing.
