12 months ago the Norwegian press went as far as to say that Molde defender Vegard Forren was booked in for a medical at Anfield, however, as we now know, that deal to Liverpool never transpired.
A year on, and the Norwegian international defender has once again demanded international attention for an amazing assist he created in a friendly match against AIK.
With Molde leading their Scandinavian rivals 3-1 in the 90th minute, Forren, who has been linked to Everton as well as Liverpool down the years, went on an amazing run.
After picking up possession in the AIK half, Forren tricked his way past one opponent, nutmegged another, beat a third man into the box before he crossed for teammate Tommy Høiland to stick the ball in the net.
It’s worth pointing out that AIK had had two men sent off late in the game also.
Watch Vegard Forren (once a Liverpool & Everton target) claim one of the assists of the season below.
