New Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka was Jose Mourinho’s assistant coach for three years at Real Madrid, and the Spaniard has given an interview on Spanish TV peeling back the layers of the Special One’s management skills at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In short Karanka is Mourinho’s biggest cheerleader, claiming the Special One has special insight into the Beautiful Game in which he can plot moves far ahead of his opponents.
Karanka brought a couple of examples of his up-close observation of Mourinho’s genius, with the Boro coach flagging up Real MAdrid’s win at Manchester United in the Champions League as a case-study for the Chelsea coach’s smart thinking.
