Ozil took just 11 minutes to bag his first assist for the Arsenal, setting up Olivier Giroud for the opener at Sunderland.
Arsene Wenger described Mesut Ozil’s first half for Arsenal as “outstanding” and he also looked calm and assured as the Gunners secured the win, before departing on 80 minutes.
