Messi & Neymar given longer holidays, left out of Barcleona squad for US Tour

Barcelona’s North American fans will be disappointed to learn that the team’s two biggest stars won’t be present on the US tour next week.

Barcelona have named their 24-man squad for their US Tour, which will go from 19 – 29 July, and two names are conspicuous by their absence: Leo Messi and Neymar, who’ve been given extended holidays by boss Luis Enrique.

Indeed, all of Barcelona’s Copa America participants have been given extra time off and reprieve from further jetlag, so Claudio Bravo, Javi Mascherano and Dani Alves have also been left out.

Barcelona’s 24-man squad for US tour:

Ter Stegen, Masip, José Suárez, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Pedro, Iniesta, Suárez, Rafinha, Bartra, Douglas, Jordi Alba, S. Roberto, Adriano, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Arda Turan, Aleix Vidal, Sandro, Munir, Halilovic, Samper, Gumbau
