Innovative Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino has taken Spurs to Barcelona for a mid-season training camp.

With the weather more mild in Spain, and Spurs in a fine position in the Premier League, having beaten Crystal Palace on Saturday, it looks like Pochettino has mixed things up with no midweek games for the north London side.

Spurs travelled to Barcelona on Saturday, immediately after the win at Selhurst Park.

Tottenham head to Colchester on Saturday for a potential banana skin of an FA Cup tie and then face Norwich away as they look to further secure their top four spot.

Whilst on the face of it, a trip to Barcelona appears to be a good idea, for a mid-season break and training, were Spurs to struggle in their coming games, Pochettino could be criticised.

Judging by a few videos released by Spurs on Twitter it looks like the trip to Barcelona is a serious one, with some intense football training drills.

Harry Kane was the first to let the cat out the bag, on Sunday, which saw some football websites claim a move to Barcelona was on the cards for the Spurs striker…

Other Instagram pictures have emerged, from the likes of reserve goalkeeper Luke McGee and Heung-Min Son.

Whilst the Tottenham social media team confirmed the trip on Monday morning – see below.
